Biography

Sénamé Koffi Agbodjinou is a promoter of neo-vernacular thinking, which he puts into practice as an innovator, designer and entrepreneur at different scales; of products, buildings and the city. He is the founder of L'Africaine d’architecture, a platform for research and experimentation on issues of African architecture and cities. He founded and manages WoeLabs, a network of Togolese tech-hubs whose ambition is to “make everyone equal in the face of technology” and within which he helped launch half-a-dozen shared companies of the HubCity-Silicon Village Group. His forward-looking vision has informed several conferences and many gatherings.

Sénamé Koffi Agbodjinou will radically shift our preconceptions of learning and worldmaking by deeply questioning centuries of enforced believes in a particular idea of progress and its underlying political, social and anthropocentric philosophies, which divorced our imagination from holistic and enduring conceptions. After the projects “Woelab Zero” and “Woelab Prime,” “Tiers” (Thirds) is the concept of a technological hub configured as a popular school of design resolutely open to its environment.
